Antibodies, Antinuclear - Research News and Information
Wednesday, January 07, 2009
Definition of 'Antibodies, Antinuclear'Autoantibodies directed against various nuclear antigens including DNA, RNA, histones, acidic nuclear proteins, or complexes of these molecular elements. Antinuclear antibodies are found in systemic autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, scleroderma, polymyositis, and mixed connective tissue disease. Common names: Antibodies, Antinuclear; Antinuclear Factors; Factors, Antinuclear; Antinuclear Factor; Factor, Antinuclear; Antinuclear Antibodies; Antinuclear Antibody; Antibody, Antinuclear; Fluorescent Antinuclear Antibodies; Antibodies, Fluorescent Antinuclear; Antinuclear Antibodies, Fluorescent |
Splenic phagocytes promote responses to nucleosomes in (NZB x NZW) F1 mice.
13 Oct 2008
Autoantigen presentation to T cells is crucial for the development of autoimmune disease. However, the mechanisms of autoantigen presentation are poorly understood. In this study, we show that splenic phagocytes play an important role in ... Read more...

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the prevalence and patterns of anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) in different subtypes of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) according to the International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR) criteria. METHODS: ... Read more...
Pineal parenchymal tumors--utility of immunohistochemical markers in prognostication.
30 Aug 2008
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: The pineal parenchymal tumors are rare, comprising 15-30% of all tumors of pineal region. Their histological classification alone has been found to be inadequate for prognostication. Hence, we correlated their ... Read more...
