Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia - Diagnosis
Research News and Information
Definition of 'Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia'A congenital cardiomyopathy that is characterized by infiltration of adipose and fibrous tissue into the RIGHT VENTRICLE wall and loss of myocardial cells. Primary injuries usually are at the free wall of right ventricular and right ATRIA resulting in ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias. Common names: Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia; Right Ventricular Dysplasia, Arrhythmogenic; Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy-Dysplasia; Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy Dysplasia; Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy |

Electrocardiographic features of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia.
25 Jul 2009
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to reevaluate the ECG features of arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD). The second objective was to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the standard and newly proposed diagnostic ECG ... Read more...
Cardiomyopathies: New test for arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
29 Jun 2009
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C) is challenging to diagnose because of nonspecific findings, particularly in the early phases of the disease. Clinical diagnosis is made on the basis of several criteria, but these ... Read more...
4 Jun 2009
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is increasingly recognized as an important cause of exertional sudden death in otherwise healthy young individuals and athletes. Graded exercise testing is routinely included in the evaluation ... Read more...
