Immunophenotyping
Research News and Information
Definition of 'Immunophenotyping'Process of classifying cells of the immune system based on structural and functional differences. The process is commonly used to analyze and sort T-lymphocytes into subsets based on CD antigens by the technique of flow cytometry. Common names: Immunophenotyping; Immunophenotypings; Subtypings, Immunologic; Subtyping, Immunologic; Immunologic Subtyping; Immunologic Subtypings; Lymphocyte Immunophenotyping; Immunophenotyping, Lymphocyte; Immunophenotypings, Lymphocyte; Lymphocyte Immunophenotypings; Lymphocyte Subtyping |

Cytogenetic characterization of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia in Nicaragua.
13 Dec 2009
BACKGROUND: Within the frame of a twinning programme with Nicaragua, The La Mascota project, we evaluated in our study the contribution of cytogenetic characterization of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) as prognostic factor compared to clinical, ... Read more...

Phosphatidylserine cell surface exposure during apoptosis can be detected by its binding to the protein annexin-V. We investigated annexin-V expression in 76 ovarian carcinoma effusions using flow cytometry. Results were analyzed for association ... Read more...
Flow cytometric immunophenotyping and minimal residual disease analysis in multiple myeloma.
30 Oct 2009
Presence of normal plasma cells (PCs), hemodilution of bone marrow aspirate, and changes in the immunophenotype are important considerations in minimal residual disease (MRD) assessment in multiple myeloma (MM). We evaluated 124 subjects-107 with ... Read more...
