Retinotopic mapping requires focal adhesion kinase-mediated regulation of growth cone adhesion.

2 Nov 2009 Adhesion controls growth cone motility, yet the effects of axon guidance cues on adhesion site dynamics are poorly understood. Here we show that ephrin-A1 reduces retinal ganglion cell (RGC) axon outgrowth by stabilizing existing adhesions and ... Read more...

The Standard Care vs Corticosteroid for Retinal Vein Occlusion (SCORE) study system for evaluation of optical coherence tomograms: SCORE study report 4.

30 Oct 2009 OBJECTIVE: To describe grading procedures for optical coherence tomographic (OCT) images of participants in the Standard Care vs Corticosteroid for Retinal Vein Occlusion (SCORE) Study. METHODS: Optical coherence tomograms were taken at clinical ... Read more...

Diffuse glaucomatous structural and functional damage in the hemifield without significant pattern loss.

30 Oct 2009 OBJECTIVES: To compare the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and retinal sensitivity in the normal visual hemifield of glaucomatous eyes with localized visual field loss with those of normal eyes and eyes with suspected glaucoma, and to ... Read more...
