Solitary Pulmonary Nodule - Radiography
Research News and Information
Definition of 'Solitary Pulmonary Nodule'A single lung lesion that is characterized by a small round mass of tissue, usually less than 1 cm in diameter, and can be detected by chest radiography. A solitary pulmonary nodule can be associated with neoplasm, tuberculosis, cyst, or other anomalies in the lung, the CHEST WALL, or the PLEURA. Common names: Solitary Pulmonary Nodule; Solitary Pulmonary Nodules; Pulmonary Nodule, Solitary; Pulmonary Nodules, Solitary; Nodule, Solitary Pulmonary; Nodules, Solitary Pulmonary; Pulmonary Coin Lesion; Lesion, Pulmonary Coin; Lesions, Pulmonary Coin; Coin Lesions, Pulmonary; Pulmonary Coin Lesions |

Primary pulmonary amyloidosis is rare. Three patterns of involvement have been described: tracheobronchial, nodular and diffuse parenchymal. The nodular parenchymal amyloid deposits are often multiple, much less common focal. We hereby present a ... Read more...
