Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-1 - Analysis
Research News and Information
Definition of 'Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-1'A 180-kDa VEGF receptor found primarily in endothelial cells that is essential for vasculogenesis and vascular maintenance. It is also known as Flt-1 (fms-like tyrosine kinase receptor-1). A soluble, alternatively spliced isoform of the receptor may serve as a binding protein that regulates the availability of various ligands for VEGF receptor binding and signal transduction. Common names: Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor-1; Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1; FLT1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase; VEGF Receptor flt-1 Protein; VEGF Receptor flt 1 Protein; VEGFR-1; fms-Like Tyrosine Kinase; Tyrosine Kinase, fms-Like; Proto-Oncogene Protein flt; Proto Oncogene Protein flt |

AIMS: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has been well documented to stimulate cell proliferation and differentiation; however, we have observed that copper (Cu)-induced regression of heart hypertrophy was VEGF-dependent. The present study ... Read more...
