A feasibility study for the computerized recruitment of subjects for research studies.
Full Abstract
Email messages are a common communication approach to recruit individuals for research studies. We examined the content of 264 consecutive, electronic recruitment solicitations and evaluated whether the content would provide the necessary structure and expressiveness to implement a computerized recruitment tool within an electronic medical record. Email messages frequently included unspecific and temporal concepts that may challenge the fully automated recruitment process.
