RCN on the wrong course?

Full Abstract

Last year the RCN announced it would be ending its higher education functions and offering its in-house and distance learning programmes through a partnership with the Open University. The RCN Research Institute has also been transferred to the University of Warwick's School of Health and Social Studies. Advocates of the changes claim specialist higher education institutions are no longer sustainable in today's climate, while detractors say the RCN is losing its core functions.
